Acoustic Triangle In Three Dimensions
with The Sacconi Strings
The three virtuoso musicians return to Romsey Abbey following their extraordinary performance during the last festival, this time with the addition of six world-class string players including the world-renowned Sacconi String Quartet. Led by Romsey-based double bass player and Festival Chairman Malcolm Creese, the group also features bass clarinet and saxophone legend Tim Garland and young star pianist Gwilym Simcock.
The nine players are touring the country's Cathedrals and other great buildings in a three-dimensional celebration of melodic and thought-provoking music. Garland and Simcock have crafted new compositions in which hidden passages from ancient and modern themes emerge and echo around in the wonderful acoustic of Romsey Abbey. Expect to hear glorious sounds emanating from every nook and cranny in the Abbey during this very special concert.
