Andy Dickens Jazz Band

British trumpet player Andy Dickens has delighted audiences in the UK, Europe and the Middle East for over twenty-five years with his fresh blend of searing jazz, bluesy vocals, ballads and popular standards. His approach to jazz is one that constantly looks forward at contemporary developments whilst embracing and sustaining the essential traditions and history of the music. Andy has toured and gigged with top Americans Ken Peplowski, Slim Gaillard and Joe Darensbourg (clarinettist with Louis Armstrong's All-Stars).

He has also worked with UK stars Peter King, Roy Williams, Annie Ross, Dick Morrissey and Humphrey Lyttelton. In the ideal acoustic of the United Reformed Church, the sextet will explore the interwoven sounds of jazz in a joyous but reflective programme that takes you from New Orleans to New York via Brazil!
