Treating The Senses' Reception
Art and wine have gone together since time immemorial. The great wine regions of the world often have arts festivals associated with them, and now the Romsey Arts Festival has wine! This unique reception brings together some very special wine, art and music, all in the beautiful surroundings of the family home of Florence Nightingale - Embley Park. Wine-making is an art; it touches the senses as art touches the senses. Here's a chance to excite all of yours: taste and smell Champagne and rare wine accompanied by the canapes d'Art of Justin Newitt, Head Chef at The Star in East Tytherley; hear the tasteful jazz of guitarist Rob Koral and vocalist Zoe Schwarz; see the eclectic wine-art of accomplished local painter Lynne Reeves; and feel the atmosphere of Florence Nightingale's family home.
'Wine is art. It's culture. It's the essence of civilisation and the art of living.' - Robert Mondavi
