Romsey Counterpoint Singers
Sacred and Secular
An evening of music with the Romsey Counterpoint Singers, directed by Jeffrey Williams. Founded in July 1978 by Mike Rowland, the current singers are all present or past members of Romsey Abbey Choir with whom they have made extensive tours and recordings.
Although the group mainly sings unaccompanied, they have performed with a number of instrumentalists and students from Winchester College of Art.
As part of this performance, the gifted Romsey-based flautist Jenna Gover will play Green Places by Gary Shocker and selected flute solos.
