The Aeneid - a dramatic reading by Chris Amery

Virgil's Aeneid tells how the Trojan hero Aeneas escapes from the burning ruins of Troy and roams the Mediterranean driven by the Gods to found an even greater city - Rome. In the process, he endures storms and hardships, loves and famously dumps Queen Dido of Carthage, and comes up against the Etruscans and their implacable leader Turnus.

This dramatic reading aims to bring out the heroism, lust, heartbreak, revenge, jealousy, intrigue and violence of one of the greatest narrative poems of all time.
